Editorial Cover & Spread

For this project, I was tasked to create an editorial illustration for an article and design it for a 2-page spread in a magazine. The article chosen was “If bumblebees can play does it mean they have feelings? This study suggests yes” written by Vanessa Romo on November 5th 2022. The chosen target audience for the design was children ages 5-13. The magazine that this project could be found in is “National Geographic Kids”.

To round out the project, I re-created a “National Geographic Kids” magazine cover. The main design elements are the same, but a different title and image was added to fit better with the 2-page spread.
